What your phone may say — and what to tap
The apps download straight from pathsala.org, not from the Play Store, so Android treats them as coming from an “unknown source” and shows one of these screens — it does that for any app installed this way. Every Pathsala app is signed by Pathsala. Find your screen below.
Every phone
“Not allowed to install unknown apps from this source”
- 1Chrome (or your Files app) asks for permission to install apps.
- 2Tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then go back.
- 3The install continues on its own.
Google Play Protect
“App scan recommended”
- 1Play Protect says it hasn't seen this app before.
- 2Tap Scan app — it comes back with “This app looks safe”.
- 3Tap Install. If it says the app was blocked instead, tap More details, then Install anyway.
Tecno · Infinix · itel
“Risks may exist”
- 1The phone's own installer lists the app's permissions under a question-mark shield.
- 2Tick “I acknowledge the risks and accept the consequences”.
- 3Tap Ignore — More only shows the details. The install continues.
Samsung
“Auto Blocker is on”
- 1Auto Blocker refuses every app that isn't from the Play Store or Galaxy Store.
- 2Open Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker and switch it off.
- 3Install again. You can switch Auto Blocker back on afterwards.
Xiaomi · Redmi · POCO · vivo · OPPO · Realme · OnePlus
A “risk” or “unknown app” notice
- 1It can appear before the install or as a scan right after it.
- 2Look for Install anyway or Continue — sometimes behind More or Details. vivo may ask for your lock-screen password.
- 3The install continues.
Updating an older install
“App not installed”
- 1An older Pathsala app already on the phone is blocking the update.
- 2Uninstall the old app first, then install the new one.
- 3Log in again with the same school account.
